SSA helps families continue their legacy of charitable giving by coaching the next generation of family foundation leadership. From providing meaningful introductions to the nonprofit and philanthropy sectors to structuring hands-on grantmaking pilots to supporting new philanthropists as they navigate challenging topics of privilege and responsibility, we support the development of future philanthropic leaders.

Client Story:
The J.M. Kaplan Fund

SSA supported Fund leadership in designing and executing a three-year pilot for the family’s fourth generation, the great grandchildren of Jacob Merrill Kaplan. This pilot consisted of education modules, networking with members of the nonprofit and philanthropic community, and experimenting with both collaborative and discretionary grantmaking. Throughlines of this pilot were learning and inclusion.
