Melissa Sanchez
Melissa Sanchez is a Graduate Intern at SSA supporting challenge design and implementation with experience in program management, partnerships, and impact investing across public policy, global health, and impact finance.
Before joining SSA, Melissa supported cross-sector initiatives at large national organizations including the Clinton Foundation, Booz Allen Hamilton, and Oscar Health, focused on institutional partnerships and advancing capacity-building efforts across nonprofit, public, and private-sector organizations. At the Clinton Foundation, she managed senior stakeholder engagement, supported major events including elements of the Clinton Global Initiative Annual Meeting, and coordinated the creation of Action Networks addressing reproductive justice in the US and the global impacts of climate change on health.
Melissa has experience in impact investing supporting gender-lens investments in early-stage African startups and is the co-founder of the Oxford Latin American Business Summit. A born and raised New Yorker, Melissa also served on the New York Civic Engagement Commission’s Language Assistance Advisory Committee. She holds an MBA from the University of Oxford Said Business School, an MSc in Health Policy, Planning, and Financing from the London School of Economics and LSHTM, and a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University.
